At the start of 2020, I was feeling lost, angry, and unsupported. And that was just in my personal life. So you can imagine how that impacted my photography business. Hiring a mindset coach was the furthest thing from my mind.
I was constantly questioning my ideas and my skills. I felt generally unsatisfied with my business and where it was heading. While my business wasn’t losing money, I wasn’t hitting my goals, and nothing that I was doing seemed to make any difference.
Stephanie and I had been acquainted for a while—I had even worked with her for a short time when she had just started coaching. (I had just launched my photography business at that time.) I signed up for her journaling program, knowing that I needed to try something new. My business needed to change, and I figured I could give her program a try.
I had tried many different courses and programs over the years, and while I learned a lot, I never got the results I wanted. In my heart, I knew that every business was different. I knew that I couldn’t expect my results to look like anyone else’s, but I didn’t know what to do. Signing up for Stephanie’s program didn’t feel particularly promising, but it was different than other things I was seeing out there. So I figured I’d give it a try.
I wish I could adequately express what this program did for me. It was so much more than equipping me with tools to launch into a new year. In this program, Stephanie introduced me to a new way of thinking. And that introduction was enough to tell me that I didn’t just want more—I needed it.
I got on a discovery call with Stephanie, and found myself saying things I thought I could never say aloud—
At the time, I didn’t know that a mindset coach would make all the difference in the world, but I was willing to give it a try. And it’s hard to describe what happened after that—because it feels both so gradual and so fast. But essentially, once I started working with Stephanie, I watched guilt and shame and pressure and unproductive habits shed away. I found myself stepping into a season of change that I never could have anticipated.
Of course, shortly after I began working with Stephanie, the pandemic hit, and the world essentially turned upside down. But with Stephanie’s support and guidance, I found myself pushing forward with an expectant confidence that I was made for this moment and there was still good to be discovered in a season of pain.
A friend of mine recently remarked to me that the past two years in my life seem so distinctly marked by first change, and then growth. And that is how I would characterize my work with Stephanie.
In the first year that we worked together, I was equipped to make some huge changes—yes, in my systems and how I was running my business, but more importantly, in how I was thinking about and approaching all of life. We did a lot of deep mindset work that year. I learned how to forgive myself, how to experience gratitude, how to release unwanted emotions… And I was making shifts in almost every area of my life to accommodate the changes I was experiencing.
The results of those changes looked exactly like what I had originally thought was impossible for me:
The second year, which we finished up in early 2022, was marked by incredible growth. Growth in my skills, in my confidence, in my resource management, and yes, in my income. Before working with Stephanie, I was struggling to achieve consistent $500 months. Now, I’m in the process of making $2500 weeks my new normal. And I wouldn’t have known it could be possible without the deep and powerful mindset work that we do together.
That second year was all about grounding and growing in my values, and letting them shine in my life and my business as brightly as they need to, knowing that I have full access to all the support I need. Where before, I was grasping at success, I am now calmly and confidently living a life that is more beautiful than I believed possible.
I want to invite you to work with Stephanie—to allow yourself to be curious enough to give a mindset coach a try. Nothing else I’ve ever experienced has given me these kind of results—not just in my business, but in my personal life. It’s the kind of work that will last for generations, and to me, that alone makes it worth all the time and investment. I would do it all again without hesitation.
