To get married on a hillside in summer. With the sun shining, the trees rustling, and the sweet sound of a violin on the wind. This is everything that a Prevailing Winds Lodge wedding is supposed to be.

A small, but happy crowd has gathered in the shade to celebrate Rachel and Matt as they promise to love one another for the rest of their lives. It’s a sweet ceremony. A few tears, a few laughs, and one very happy couple.

It’s incredible to witness a wedding like this unfold before you. The look on each face says it all. Excitement. Anticipation. Pure joy. Even if this day wasn’t perfect (which it was), it was surely one-of-a-kind. And a day like that…well, it should last forever.

Prevailing Winds Lodge in Blue Mounds, Wisconsin is the perfect backdrop for a summer wedding. And I know that Rachel and Matt would agree. It’s so beautiful. So peaceful. And it showcases the best of Wisconsin.

Rachel put so much thought into all the the details for her wedding. The colors, the jewelry, the flowers… Everything was beautiful and represented Rachel and Matt so well.

I especially loved the inclusion of lemons in Rachel’s florals! Brit of Homestead Wisconsin did the most incredible job with the florals! The pops of yellow reminded me so much of Rachel and Matt’s engagement session in New Glarus, Wisconsin. This girl knows how to do yellow!

Francesca of Makeup by Francesca gave Rachel the most beautiful fresh, summery glow for her bridal look, and it was absolutely stunning.

Live music was provided by a string quartet and Leslie and Anthony Cao.

My favorite thing about the whole day was watching Rachel and Matt’s families. There was so much love, excitement, and emotion as they celebrated. The kids even joined in on the fun when the reception started!

Overall, Rachel and Matt couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day or a more perfect team for their Prevailing Winds Lodge wedding. It was absolutely beautiful in every way. And they couldn’t deserve anything less than that.
