This Beaver Dam backyard wedding is a good one, my friends. Tucked away in the cutest spot in southern Wisconsin. I know you’re gonna love it.

One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is getting to capture the wedding days of our college friends.

Jeff was one of Ricky’s roommates in college, so there was something truly special about getting to photograph his wedding day. Watching him enter this new and exciting stage of life was pretty cool, too.

This wedding was even more special because this is the second wedding that I’ve shot in this family! I had the opportunity to photograph Samantha’s twin sister’s wedding a few years ago. And it was wonderful to work with her family again!

Additionally, Samantha is one of the strongest and most amazing women I have ever met. She is truly incredible, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cry when she walked down the aisle.

This beautiful backyard wedding in Beaver Dam was genuinely one of the most heartfelt weddings I have ever photographed. It was the ultimate wedding day, brimming with sunshine and tears and laughter and good company. What more could a bride and groom ask for?

And who could have known that Beaver Dam had such a charming vibe to offer for a backyard wedding like this? It was absolutely dreamy–the perfect reprieve from the weight of all that was happening in the world. Everyone laughed and celebrated. And for a brief moment, especially for Samantha and Jeff, everything was right in the world.

But this couple knows how to stay joyful. Even with everything that’s happened so far in 2020, Samantha and Jeff had an amazing wedding day! I’m so happy to have been part of it.

P.S. If more couples chose to do post-send-off golden hour portraits, I would NOT be mad. 🙂
